Harpsichord

The soft yet haunting sounds of a harpsichord caught πΉππππ’π€ attention from where she had been reading. Curious and intrigued, as she loved music in all its forms, she followed the sounds to a nearby room and peeked in.
Seeing ππͺπ·π·π²π«πͺπ΅ sitting at the instrument and not wanting to disturb him; she lingered in the doorway, just listening.
The bloodhound-like sensitivity of his nose alerted him to her presence without her having to say a word. Mid-song, he abruptly switched to the jaunty tune of ππ¦π’π³π΅ & ππ°πΆπ, just to see how she would react.
Hearing the song change almost a few moments after she reached the door, Becca chuckled softly. She knew that song well, and so pushed off the door and crossed the room slowly towards where Hannibal sat.
She smirked faintly as she gave him a questioning look before she sat beside him and nodding slightly to get the time of the beat, took the higher part. Her fingers nimble over the keys as she missed not a beat.
Hannibal, seized by a sudden shift in the air, felt the subtle tremor of fate's hand guiding his melody. As Becca's silhouette graced the threshold, a knowing smile danced upon his lips, for her presence was foretold in the silent whispers of the universe. With a masterful flourish, he beckoned her into their shared symphony, a duet orchestrated by unseen forces. In her eyes, he glimpsed the reflection of an ancient bond, woven through time and space. Together, they wove a tapestry of harmonies that echoed with the wisdom of ages past, each note a testament to the eternal dance of souls intertwined.
What started as a jaunty tune that he had switched to catch her attention, became something deeper as they continued to play together. It was something deep, and passionate almost, as the tune itself spoke more than words ever could. She tilted her head to look over at him a moment as they continued to write a new, unwritten symphony together, before allowing herself to get lost in the melodic tune that danced and flowed around them. Joining them in a way that only they two, understood.
