Tailoring the way you introduce yourself to the setting you're in is a form of code-switching and it's natural for people to do so. I would not present myself to a book club the same way I would to a job interview.

It's nothing short of a boon to have such a wide circle of friends. You must have common interests of some sort with all of them, yes?

How have you been? It has been some days since we've spoken.

Three people might not be much to many but it is to me...five if you count the two older people I spend time with almost daily...or will again once I move back to MO. Lol my circle is small, but I love those within it.

Got him last night late. Was supposed to just go look and meet him but when you know...hehehe. plus he's really good with Rhett for being so big. Still just a puppy. They thought he was a year old.

And I am doing fine today, thank you. How are you doing? Are you feeling better?

Fly a kite? *chuckles softly* I wish it was that windy here. Wind coming off the beach would eat the kite, not fly it. 🤣🤣

very true, and mine is fixing to become an actor so he is VERY good at it. XD

His elder sister, who is 14, is in school for theater, dance and makeup, so he has seen all of that growing up when we go visit and he is almost as good at prat falling as she is. :P and he's 4. Lol

Children in the arts revive culture.

You said you're an avid reader and you go to the opera when you can. They are lucky to have a cultured parent.

that is does, and my daughter has always wanted to be either an actress or a FSX makeup artist since she was small. Which she is really good at already.

I try, so thank you very much. Children are gifts from the Gods and should be treated as such.

I am very proud of both of them.

I used to draw, a long time ago. lol I dance, took tap and ballet when I was younger and I love music so I played piano and violin in school. How about you? :)

I play guitar, much like my namesake. I used to act too, though not as skillfully as him. I took tap and jazz as a child and I take belly dancing now.

 

Rebecca

I love guitar, I bet you pay wonderfully. Music is a big passion to me, and I still tinker about with the piano but the ability to read music just kinda went out the window. lol I can play it with the actual notes but the music itself. I'd need a refresher. lol And Belly dancing I have always wanted to try. Is it fun?

It is, it's all about isolation and bodily harmony. I practice to Beats Antique, a band which has belly dancers at their concerts.

Beats Antique is an awesome band. I love their music. I might have to give that a look then, once I move. I was curious about that and aerial dance, but I think I should keep my feet on the ground. Lol

Aerial dance is a wondrous art.

Yea, but I have no balance, so I just might end up breaking my neck. They did have a studio down the road from me, and I did go to check it out. Was an interesting night to be sure.

My power is mostly in my legs than my arms anyway, so while a fun experience, not sure I would be good at it.
